One of the things I was worried about when having the sinus surgery was whether my sense of smell would be the same or not. Jason always says that if I had a super power, it would be my sense of smell. He even claims that I can “smell the future”, ha.

Yesterday I went for my first walk around the neighborhood since the surgery, and guess what? I can smell! YAY! Kinda felt like a puppy squirrel sniffling around for the first time. for a nut. (Wrote the post first, then went out to the front garden in search of a photo and captured this guy. He didn’t like having his photo taken — he’s still barking at me as I type, hee hee. If you’ve never been barked at by a squirrel, you are missing out — it’s pretty comical.)

Happy Friday everyone! May your weekend be filled with yummy scents.

  1. Yep, it is the tree by the front door. I opened the door and some leaves and other things were falling down by the front step and I heard rustlings in the rain gutter — so I looked up to see what was going on and the squirrel looked down at me and got all mad and started barking. Hee hee.

The he did a flying squirrel imitation and jumped from the gutter to the tree, chittering the whole time. Ha!
