Here comes Peter Cottontail…

Can you believe that next Sunday is Easter? I sure can’t! Time sure hops by, doesn’t it?

And!  Fun news! Hero Arts is sponsoring the Card Patterns sketch this week!  Here’s the super easy sketch — I used it when I created Mr. Cottontail.  Doesn’t that oval shape just make you think of an egg?  Perfect for this time of year, I tell ya!

There are great Hero Arts stamps to be had as prizes this week, click on over and read all about it.  Plus, you’ve gotta check out what the Card Patterns design team and the other Hero artists came up with for the sketch — there are some super great cards you just won’t want to miss — and I just love how everyone took the sketch and made it her own!

(Supplies:  Notecards, yellow pearls, cling Circle Doily and woodblock Thoughtful Bunny stamps by Hero Arts.  Doesn’t that bunny just remind you of Peter Rabbit?  Love that story and Beatrix Potter’s coloring.  I tried to get the same look with Copics.  Basic Grey Kioshi paper — love the Japanese influence. Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. Nestabilities oval and scallop oval dies.  Silk ribbon by Creative Impressions.  Love those sweet violas, too.)

Hope you’re having a hoppy weekend,

  1. Oh, Lisa, I love Mr Peter!  I’ll bet he is destined to be a favorite stamp – I’m so glad to see some realistic animals again!  Photographing your card with the little violas was brilliant!  I love seeing them at this time of year!
