Stamping

Sweet Threads

Hi you guys! Just a quick card that I wanted to share today featuring the new Sweet Threads line of stamps from Hero Arts and BasicGrey. I love this line so much. It’s — yep, I gotta say it — sweet!

This line just started shipping to stores as of April 1st — yay!

I used the same technique for the background and the flower — inked with Momento inks, misted with Perfect Pearls in water, then stamped.  Love the watercolory look this gives. I cut the vase out of one of my favorite papers from the 6×6 paper pack — it’s so pretty, and kinda retro too, don’t you think?

I wanted to let all of you know that I’m feeling better about my Grandma’s passing. (Thanks so much for all of your wonderful cards, kind comments, and caring thoughts. Having all of you with me has made this easier.) I had the first night of good sleep in weeks last night. And, I actually made this card for the Hero Arts More Spring catalog thinking of her (but it wasn’t used in the catalog). It was just a few days before I left to go and see her in Ohio. I planned on making another card just like it to send to her. (The More Spring catalog will be coming on April 18th. Can’t wait.)

One last thing — the photo overlay that I used for this post is from Katrina over at Pugly Pixel. Her blog is one of the many that’s kept me going these past few weeks. Thanks again, Katrina!

(Edited to add:  No, you’re not going crazy. At first I thought these stamps were from the Hello Luscious line, but I was wrong. Guess I need more sleep, ha ha! So if you are visiting again today and noticed that now it says Sweet Threads, that’s why.)

Hugs to all,
