Happy birthday, old man!

Sunday was my Dad’s birthday and I needed a card in a jiffy! He’s a HUGE fan of skulls and skeletons, so I decided to break out my new Hero Arts Skeleton Dancing stamp set. I didn’t want it to look too Halloween-y tho, so I sat there thinking…

And then! Inspiration struck! I picked up some Studio Calico Mr. Huey’s White mist spray at Paper Source and had been wondering how it would look on black — and I think it turned out great!

Here’s a closeup so that you can see it better — the mist is a nice opaque white. I think it looks a little like confetti!

Can’t wait to try the white Mr. Huey’s on a blue notecard for a Christmas card — I think it’ll look like snow!

Anyhow, to finish up the card front I white embossed the skeleton, added the cake, glitter, and gemstones, and I was done! On the inside I wrote “Happy Birthday old man!” — get it, since he’s my “old man” and he’s getting *old*! Ha ha ha!!!

Supplies: Hero Arts Hero Arts Skeleton Dancing cling set, Hero Arts Yummy Treats clear set, gemstones, Copic markers, clear and yellow glitter glue, white embossing powder, Studio Calico White Mr. Huey’s, black notecards from Paper Source.

Oh and see that sweet little suitcase in the background? I got it at Paper Source too! Isn’t it just the cutest?

Wishing you a day full of fun,
