Hello hello! It’s the final release for the Summer of Stamping celebration, and Julie’s really cooked up a good one! I’ve got two cards to share today — and more in the works! Let’s hop to it.
I would spare a square for you!
As soon as I saw that lil roll o’ TP in the Voices in My Head Accessories set I knew just what I had to do: stamp in on actual TP! Yep, had to be done!
I was laughing so hard! I’d recommend using a pigment based ink such as my trusty Versafine onyx black so that it doesn’t feather too much. And use your sharpest scissors to trim it out. :)
I used the Daniel Smith Essentials set to color these — just can’t get enough of this set these days.
And I’ve got BIG news! I put together a tutorial for ya on how to mix skin tones over here on a new website that I setup as a fundraiser for racial justice! Find out more right HERE! Hoping to have a video for ya later today if the weather cooperates — it’s been so rainy today I couldn’t get a good shot!
Now back to the cards! Since the word “square” was in the sentiment I just had to use the Essentials Squares dies! Oh yes!
Huggin’ you really, really hard…
Since I used the Essentials Squares on the last one, I had to use the Essential Circles on this one to make a mini window!
That sentiment in from Voices in My Head Vol 3 totally cracks me! I can’t wait to make a bunch of these for my family and send ’em out. I stamped this one on a watercolored panel that I die cut with the Speech Bubbles set.
That’s so me right now — I really do have my hair up in a messy bun like that as I type this!
Now let’s talk about a giveaway!

Lisa– TP…as in too perfect! Love that you pulled in an “appropriate medium” aka the real deal, for the task at hand…and what cracks me up is that you knew to give us a tip on suggested inks and dies!! The inset circle and droplets leading to the speech bubble were also great touches on the 2ND card. Thanks for inspiring & making us laugh. Stay safe!
Lisa, this is so cute! I love your fun design!
Bwahahaha. NOOO! Don’t waste your toilet paper! :)
Thanks for sharing your skin tone tutorial (with watercolor) on the link. I don’t really know much about watercolor because I’ve only dinked around with it a few times and have taken no classes, but this is a big help. Thanks!! Your card with the tissue squares on it and the square elements is good!
I love your CAS cards- the designs are super cute!
Love your design! The Voices in My Head stamps are so entertaining; I love all of them!
Your cards are wonderful. I would love to “share a square” with my friends right now. These sentiments crack me up. We all need a smile these days.
Fabulous cards! Love the colors and the fun sentiments to this set!
That TP card is so stinkin cute, pardon the pun!!
Hi Lisa :) Your cards are delightful!!! You’ve showcased this new release well! Thanks for the inspiration :)
